The MICR is printed in magnetic ink at the bottom of every cheque leaf, between the cheque number and your account ID. It is not needed for NEFT, RTGS, IMPS or UPI, which use the IFSC (PUNB0468100 for this branch).
Before you deposit or write a cheque
Check that the MICR on the cheque matches the branch printed at the top of the leaf.
