About codein

codein helps you find and check the IFSC and MICR code of any bank branch in India, quickly and without ads getting in the way of the answer.

Last updated 24 October 2026

What we do

codein lists every bank branch in the Reserve Bank of India's IFSC and MICR master list, with its IFSC, MICR, address and the payment systems it supports (NEFT, RTGS, IMPS, UPI). You can search by bank, city or branch, validate a code before you pay, and read plain-language guides on Indian bank transfers.

Where the data comes from

Branch data comes from the RBI IFSC and MICR master list (www.rbi.org.in/Scripts/IFSCMICRDetails.aspx), through the open razorpay/ifsc dataset, which consolidates the RBI's files. We check for a new release every day and also compare the bank list on the RBI's own IFSC page with the previous day's, so new and closed branches show up quickly. Every page shows the dataset release and the date it was last updated.

Independent

codein is not affiliated with, endorsed by or operated by the Reserve Bank of India, NPCI or any bank. Bank names and codes belong to their owners and are shown only to identify branches.

Free to use

The site and its JSON API are free. The site is supported by advertising (Google AdSense); ads never change the codes or the order of results.
