The service
codein provides IFSC and MICR codes, branch details, validators, guides and a JSON API for general information. We may change, suspend or stop any part of the service at any time.
Accuracy
We take the data from the RBI master list and update it regularly, but codes, branches and addresses change and errors are possible. Always confirm the beneficiary's IFSC and account details with the payee or the bank before you send money. See the disclaimer for details.
Acceptable use
- Do not use the site or API for unlawful purposes, fraud or impersonating a bank.
- Do not overload the service: automated access and the API must stay within reasonable request rates.
- Do not copy the site's design, guides or code wholesale and present them as your own.
Content and trademarks
Bank names, codes and logos belong to their owners. Branch data is published by the Reserve Bank of India. The guides, design and code of codein are ours unless stated otherwise.
Links and ads
The site shows ads and links to other websites. We are not responsible for their content, products or privacy practices.
Liability
The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, codein is not liable for any loss arising from use of the site, including payments sent using information found here.
