Most payment banks use one IFSC for all their customers: Airtel Payments Bank AIRP0000001, India Post Payments Bank IPOS0000001, Jio Payments Bank JIOP0000001, Fino Payments Bank FINO0000001 and Paytm Payments Bank PYTM0000001. Post Office Savings Bank accounts use IPOS0000DOP.
Why payment banks have one IFSC
Payment banks work mostly through apps and agents rather than branches, so they route every account through one central code. The RBI list also contains a few service codes for each (for example AIRP00000SC for Airtel's IMPS switch and JIOP0SC9999 for Jio's NEFT service centre); use the main code unless your bank tells you otherwise.
Where to confirm your code
Airtel Payments Bank: Airtel Thanks app, under the bank account details.
IPPB: the IPPB Mobile Banking app or your account welcome letter.
Fino: the FinoPay app or passbook; Fino also lists codes for its own outlets.
Any bank: type the code into the IFSC validator on this site.
Paytm Payments Bank
The RBI stopped Paytm Payments Bank from taking new deposits or top-ups from 15 March 2024. Its IFSC, PYTM0000001, is still in the RBI list, but check with the payee before sending money to a Paytm Payments Bank account.
